The sixth season of Comets hockey will begin with a pair of weekend games at the Adirondack Bank Center as they face the defending champs, the Toronto Marlies on October 5 at 7 p.m. and the Belleville Senators on October 6 at 7 p.m.
Utica will feature a fan-friendly schedule with 17 Friday home games and 26 weekend games.
This year's schedule provides Comets fans with the opportunity to see the Cleveland Monsters for the first time since the 2014-15 season. The Monsters first appearance at the AUD will be on Friday, October 19 at 7 p.m.
For a third consecutive season, the Syracuse Crunch and Utica Comets will battle 12 times to determine the Galaxy Cup winner. The Crunch are slated to make their first visit to Utica on Friday, November 16 at 7 p.m.
The Comets longest road trip of the season comes in late November and stretches to early December, a total of four games spanning over 12 days. The longest home stand of five games occurs in mid-January spanning 9 days.
The regular season will conclude at home for the fourth time in six years. The final game will be played on Sunday, April 14 against the rival Syracuse Crunch.
Individual game tickets will go on sale Saturday, September 8 at 10 a.m. at the Adirondack Bank Center Box Office and noon online at www.empirestatetix.com. A full promotional schedule will be released later this summer.
