
Stingrays Add 2013 Kelly Cup Finalist Gabriel Levesque

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 22 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry, agreed to terms with forward Gabriel Levesque, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today.
Levesque, 24, started the season with Gap in France adding four assists in five games and two assists in five French League Cup contests before arriving to the Stingrays. Last season, the Montreal, Quebec, native skated in 59 games for the Quad City Mallards of the Central Hockey League (CHL) adding 20 goals and 18 assists for 38 points. From 2011-13, Lavesque totaled 91 ECHL games with the Stockton Thunder picking up 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists) and helped the club reach the Kelly Cup Finals in 2013.
Prior to turning pro, the 5-foot-6, 160-pound forward netted 245 points in 253 career Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) contests with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Acadie-Bathurst Titan and led the league with 70 assists in 2010-11.
The Stingrays return to the North Charleston Coliseum, open a five-game homestand and a three-game in three-day weekend on Friday, November 14 against the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. Friday is Family 4 Pack Friday ! Grab four tickets, four hotdogs, four sodas and a large popcorn for $55 at the Coliseum Box Office! College students and active members of the military can catch the action for only $7 with ID at the Box Office.
