Nashville Trades Latta to Washington

Milwaukee, WI-Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has traded forwards Michael Latta and Martin Erat to the Washington Capitals in exchange for forward Filip Forsberg.

Currently in his second season with the Admirals, Latta is third on the team in scoring with 35 points on nine goals and 26 assists. He paces the club with 184 penalty minutes to go along with a +9 rating. The St. Clements, ON native also leads the Ads with eight multi-point games, including a three-point night (1g-2a) last Friday night against Rockford.

An Admirals fan favorite for his ability to deliver hits as well as goals, Latta finishes his time in Milwaukee with 23 goals and 40 assists for 63 points, 284 penalty minutes, and a +17 rating.

The Admirals return to the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Friday night for a 7:00 pm face-off against the Rockford IceHogs. The first 5,000 fans will get a Fighting Jeremy Smith Bobblehead, courtesy of Potawatomi Bingo Casinso.
