Kamloops Blazers News Release

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers are pleased to announce that they have selected forward Jayden Halbgewachs with the 19th overall selection of the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft.

Halbgewachs, who is from Emerald Park, SK, played for the Prairie Storm Bantam AA team in Balgonie, SK this past season. In 24 games, the 5'7" forward led his team in scoring with 55 goals, 34 assists and 89 points. The dynamic and shifty 15-year-old is a welcome addition to the Blazers.

"We are pleased with the selection of Jayden," said Director of Player Personnel, Matt Recchi. "He is an exceptional player that we did not expect to be available at 19th overall. Jayden is a dynamic player who can score at will. His vision, skating and determination are all assets that we covet in a player."

Halbgewachs is the first Saskatchewan born forward taken in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft.
