Vancouver Giants Begin Broadcast Partnership with Team Radio

The Vancouver Giants Hockey Club is excited to announce that they have entered into a partnership with TEAM Radio that will see Giants regular season and playoff games, both home and road, aired on TEAM 1040 and TEAM 1410 beginning this fall. It's a homecoming of sorts for the Giants, as TEAM 1040 was the club's original broadcast home back in their inaugural season of 2001/02 and 2002/03.

The Giants join the NHL's Vancouver Canucks, the CFL's BC Lions, MLS's Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the NWL's Vancouver Canadians on TEAM Radio, meaning every major sports franchise in Vancouver now calls TEAM Radio home. The partnership will see TEAM Radio be the voice of the Vancouver Giants through the completion of the 2013/14 season, and will offer Giants fans a full 30-minute pre- and post-game show as part of each broadcast.

"It's great to have the Giants back on TEAM Radio, the premier hockey and sports stations in Vancouver", says Giants Majority Owner Ron Toigo. "We look forward to working with everyone there showcasing the NHL stars of tomorrow as we work towards another Memorial Cup."

James Stuart, Vice President & General Manager for TEAM Radio adds: "We are thoroughly excited to welcome the Vancouver Giants and elite junior hockey to the roster of play-by-play action on TEAM Radio. We look forward to being with them every step of the way on their march to the Memorial Cup."

Further announcements, including the naming of Play-By-Play and Colour Commentators, will come over the course of the summer.
