Rome, GA - Due to heavy rainshowers that plagued northwest Georgia, tonight's regularly scheduled South Atlantic League match-up between the Drive and Rome Braves has been postponed. Since the Drive and Braves do not meet again this season at State Mutual Stadium, the game will be made-up as part of a doubleheader at Fluor Field on Monday, August 15th.

While a start time for game one of the twinbill has yet to be determined, both contests will be seven innings. Game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Fans holding tickets to the August 15th game at Fluor Field will have access to the ballpark for both games of the doubleheader.

The red-hot Drive, who won two of three games versus the Braves and have won eight of their last 10 contests, return home to Fluor Field on Friday for a four-game series with the Lexington Legends, affiliate of the Houston Astros.

First pitch on Friday is set for 7:05 PM, as right-hander Brandon Workman (3-6, 3.94 ERA) toes the rubber for Greenville, while Lexington counters with counters with right-hander Mike Foltynewicz (5-8, 4.27 ERA). Following the game, fans will be treated to a spectacular fireworks display.

The Drive are currently in second place in the South Atlantic League's Southern Division, trailing the first place Savannah Sand Gnats by only 3.0 games. Greenville does, however, hold a sizeable 7.5 game lead in the Wild Card standings over the Asheville Tourists.
