Bowling Green Hot Rods News Release
Bowling Green, KY - The Hot Rods return home after lengthy road trip to square off for the final time against the Western Division in the regular season. The six-game stand features the second Baseball Camp of the summer as well as the first Hot Rods Cap Giveaway on Thursday night. Below is a listing of events, promotions, and activities at the ballpark for the upcoming week.

Thrifty Thursday: Another great night featuring $2 food and drink specials presented by All Hits WUHU 107 and Beaver 96.7 FM.
Hot Rods Cap Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans receive the first-ever Hot Rods Cap Giveaway courtesy of Coca-Cola.
Baseball Camp No. 2: The Hot Rods host day one of a two-day baseball camp for kids ages 6-13 giving them the opportunity to learn the finer points of the game from Hot Rods players and coaches.
Attorney Night: A special night to host - and roast' - the hard working men and women in the law profession.

T-Shirt Series Giveaway: The third installment of the exciting T-Shirt Series Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans presented by Edmonton State Bank, Home-Towne Suites, Land Shark Shredding, and Window World.
Survivors Night: The Hot Rods host a night to honor those who have courageously fought and are battling cancer.
Baseball Camp No.2: The Hot Rods wrap up their second Baseball Camp of the summer.
Burlington Team Notes:
This is the first and only meeting with Burlington in the 2011 season. The Hot Rods lost two of three in Burlington, IA last summer. The Bees are in their first year of a partnership with the Oakland A's.
The Bees were runaway winners of the Western Division with a 45-25 first-half record.
Blake Hassebrock leads the Bees pitching staff with a 5-5 record and a 2.03 ERA, second-best in the Midwest League. He's part of a staff that sports a team ERA of 3.28, second-lowest in the league.
Infielder Yordy Cabrera, a second-round draft pick last year, is the No. 8 prospect in the A's farm system, according to Baseball America.
Saturday, July 23 - Peoria Chiefs (Chicago Cubs) - 7:05 PM
Fireworks: The Hot Rods light up the sky with another post-game fireworks show presented by H&R Agri-Power.
Agriculture Night: Celebrate the proud, rich tradition that agriculture holds in South Central Kentucky.
Holley Hot Rod Parade: A pre-game event featuring local car owners competing in a season-long promotion to earn the Holley Hot Rod Trophy at the end of the season.
Sunday, July 24 - Peoria Chiefs - 5:05 PM - Gates open at 3:30pm for everyone
Kids Club Sunday: Another exciting day for Hot Rods Kids Club members who get into the game free. Prior to the game all Kids Club Members can enjoy an ice cream social with the Hot Rods. After the game all kids 14 & under can run the bases thanks to Smucker's Uncrustables.
Grandparents Day: Grandparents are honored throughout the game. Prior to first pitch, grandparents can introduce their grandkids on the field.
Summer Reading Program: As a follow up to the offseason's Axle's Book Buddies, the Hot Rods host libraries from across South Central Kentucky as they reward kids who completed the state's summer reading program.
Monday, July 25 - Peoria Chiefs - 7:05 PM
Final game of a three-game series with the affiliate for the Chicago Cubs.
Peoria Team Notes:
This is the only meeting of the season between the two teams. The Chiefs took two of three in 2010.
The Chiefs finished the first half with a 33-37 record despite having the league's highest team batting average of .263.
Infielders Greg Rohan (.315) and Richard Jones (.301) are ranked third and tenth in the league in batting, respectively. OF Matt Szczur was fourth at .314 before his recent promotion.
Jones is also ranked third with 16 homers and fourth with 37 extra-base hits.
Pitching coach Jeff Fassero spent 16 years in the big leagues compiling a 121-124 record as a left-handed reliever.
