MEMPHIS, TN - Sacramento shutout Memphis 7-0 Wednesday night at AutoZone Park to even the series at a game apiece.

River Cats starter Joshua Outman combined with two relievers to shutout the Redbirds. Outman allowed only three hits and fanned six over six innings to earn his third win. Fautino De Los Santos and Joe Bateman finished off the blanking pitching two innings and one inning, respectively. Meanwhile, the Cats' offense gave the club an early lead scoring four runs in the first four innings. Right fielder Shane Peterson drove in two runs with a triple to center field in the second inning and Josh Horton added an RBI-single in the fourth while Redbirds outfielder Jim Rapoport allowed the River Cats fourth run off a throwing error that ended up in the 'Birds dugout. Memphis collected only six hits in the loss.

Memphis and Sacramento continue their series tomorrow night with game time scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Raul Valdes gets the ball for the 'Birds and will square off against River Cats right-hander Guillermo Moscoso Tomorrow the first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive our fly swatter giveaway brought to you by Cook's Pest Control.
