RENO, Nev. - As part of Microsoft's Community Action Week, the Reno Aces and Microsoft are teaming up for a book drive at Aces Ballpark on Tuesday, May 17, to benefit the Washoe County Library.

At next Tuesday's 11:35 a.m. game against the Iowa Cubs, Microsoft and the Aces will be accepting new and used books on the concourse at Aces Ballpark. Gates open at 10:35 a.m., and the Aces will be accepting books throughout the game.

At Tuesday's game, fans are asked to bring new or lightly used books for children and adults, including plays, classic literature, history and fiction books. Microsoft and the Aces request that fans refrain from bringing books in poor condition, magazines, textbooks, cassettes and videos, medical and legal books that are more than three years old and incomplete or pre-2000 encyclopedias.

Despite a reduction in funding for the Washoe County Library system, local libraries continue to see a rise in usage when measured on a per-hour basis. Libraries in Northern Nevada continue to provide job-hunting and life-improvement assistance to thousands and support of K-12 education through free (pre-paid) computers, electronic encyclopedias, online tutoring and many other resources.

Tickets for next Tuesday's game start at just $6, and can be purchased at the Aces Ballpark Box Office, online at www.RenoAces.com or by phone at (775) 334-7000.

Full and partial season ticket plans are available today. Visit www.RenoAces.com or call (775) 334-4700 for more information.
