Oklahoma City, OK - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Oklahoma City Barons 3-0 on Friday night. Curtis Sanford made 29 saves to earn his first shutout of the season while Dustin Boyd scored a goal in his first game with Hamilton.

The Bulldogs opened the game's scoring at 14:19 of the first stanza with a 5-on-3 power-play goal. Aaron Palushaj dished the puck to Ben Maxwell, who rifled a shot that sailed over the right shoulder of Oklahoma City starting goaltender Martin Gerber.

The 'Dogs took a 2-0 lead at 6:25 of the middle frame while on the power play. David Desharnais skated behind the Barons' net before feeding the puck to the middle of the ice, where Dustin Boyd was stationed. Boyd whacked the puck past Gerber and into the net.

Desharnais gave Hamilton a 3-0 lead at 14:55 of the final period. Desharnais intercepted a pass from a Barons player before snapping a shot on net that bounced off the post and crossbar before ending up in the top of the net.

The Bulldogs continue their five-game road trip with a match-up in Texas against the Stars tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. EST. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
