Westgarth Returns To Manchester

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned forward Kevin Westgarth to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Westgarth, 25, has zero points and nine penalty minutes in nine games with the Kings during his rookie season. The 6-foot-5, 241-pound native of Amherstburg, Ontario made his Kings/NHL debut on January 20 at Minnesota. Westgarth, who signed with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on March 16, 2007, has also skated in 55 games with the Monarchs this season, posting eight points (2-6=8) and a team-leading 146 penalty minutes.

The Monarchs travel to the Tsongas Arena to face-off with the Lowell Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.
