Caruso Called up to AHL Chicago

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that goaltender Dave Caruso has been called up to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. In separate transactions, forward Bruce Mulherin has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve while forward Brandon Kaleniecki has been transferred from the 3-day injured reserve to the 7-day injured reserve. In addition, the Gladiator have added Curtis Ryser as an emergency back up goaltender.

Caruso is a perfect 2-0-0 in his first two starts with the Gladiators after posting 31 saves in an 8-3 win last night over the South Carolina Stingrays. The Roswell, Georgia native currently leads the Gladiators in net has he has posted a .932 save percentage

Kaleniecki appeared in the Gladiators season opener against the South Carolina Stingrays on October 20th but did not register a point in the win. Mulherin will be available for the Gladiators for the first time during the regular season. The forward led the University of Alabama-Huntsville in scoring during his senior season last year.
