Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
The Texas Wildcatters fired two late goals in the third period and pulled out a 6-4 win over the Pensacola Ice Pilots on Saturday night at the Ford Arena.
The Ice Pilots played a solid and gritty game and worked hard from the opening face-off.
Dallas Steward fired two goals for Pensacola, while Mario Joly and Tyler Liebel had the others. Dwayne Hay collected three assists in the contest. Michael Mole suffered the loss in goal.
The Ice Pilots rallied from 1-0 and 4-2 deficits in the game and actually held a 2-1 advantage.
The game featured many penalties as both teams are still trying to get used to the new rules. All five goals in the third period were scored via the power play, including the game winner with 6 minutes remaining to snap a 4-4 tie.
The Ice Pilots host the Columbia Inferno Sunday at 6:05 pm at The Hangar....
