Wildcatters WIN 4-1, Return Home for KFDM Opening Night, Tonight at 7:05 p.m.

Pensacola, FL (October 28, 2006) The Texas Wildcatters spoiled the home opener for the Pensacola Ice Pilots coming away with a 4-1 win in front of a crowd of 5,521 at the Pensacola Civic Center. The Wildcatters capitalized on the power play scoring all four of their goals on the man advantage. Matt Yeats made 29 saves as the Wildcatters moved to 2-1-0 on the young season. Brandin Cote scored twice for Texas, including the game winning goal, in the victory.
The Catters once again came from behind as Pensacola's Dwayne Hay tallied the first goal of the game just under a minute in. J.F. David and Kevin Baker added goals for the Wildcatters. David, Baker, Mike Madill and Marco Rosa also contributed with two assists apiece. 6 foot 8, rookie Riley Emmerson had two fights, one with Pensacola's Dan Sullivan and the other with Brent Henley.
The Wildcatters return home for KFDM Opening Night on Saturday as they play the first regular season game at Ford Arena in over 18 months when they face-off against the Pensacola Ice Pilots. Game time is 7:05 p.m. CT. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and Ford Arena will open at 6 p.m. Fans will be able to get their face painted, take photos and play X-Box 360s sponsored by Best Buy. There will also be live music as well as a few more surprises.
The Texas Wildcatters are the ECHL affiliate for the AHL's Houston Aeros.
