New York Rangers Announcer Sam Rosen to Provide Color Commentary for Wednesday Night Vipers Game

ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), announced today that New York Rangers play-by-play announcer Sam Rosen will join Vipers broadcaster Matt Rosen to call the Vipers game from Danbury, Connecticut on Wednesday, December 14th as the team faces the Trashers.

As The New York Post reported on December 11th, Sam Rosen will provide color commentary for Matt Rosen during the team's broadcast of the Eastern Division matchup on 3WR 910AM. Fans around the globe will be able to tune into a live feed of the broadcast via the Vipers website by visiting www.valleyvipershockey.com and clicking on the "Listen Live" link. Fans are also encouraged to purchase the video feed of the game from the B2 Networks, which covers all United Hockey League action throughout the season. A link to the B2 Networks can also be found on the Vipers home page.

"I am looking forward to having a good time and working alongside someone who I think has a lot of promise and potential in this business," said Sam Rosen of the occasion. Rosen also noted that he would be sure to have some fun with his son if he makes a mistake while they're on the air.

The elder Rosen has been calling games for the New York Rangers since the 1982-83 NHL season, and has also worked for FOX Sports providing play-by-play for NFL football since 1996, among calling a variety of sports on different radio and television networks.

Don't forget to tune into the live action as the Vipers begin their next four consecutive games against the Danbury Trashers. The pre-game show will begin on Wednesday at 6:45p.m. on 3WR.
