Leggett Completes Transfer to Monterey Bay
December 23, 2025 - The Charleston Battery announced Tuesday the permanent transfer of forward Wesley Leggett to USL Championship side Monterey Bay FC, pending league and federation approval. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Leggett featured in four matches for the Battery after joining the club as a late-season acquisition from Loudoun United FC in 2025.

Aaron Molloy Transferred from Charleston to Lexington for Record Intraleague Fee
December 18, 2025 - CHARLESTON, S.C. (December 18, 2025) - The Charleston Battery and Lexington Sporting Club have agreed to the permanent transfer of midfielder Aaron Molloy to the Kentucky club on Thursday, pending league and federation approval.
Charleston will receive a six-figure transfer fee, the highest intraleague fee paid in USL Championship history, after Lexington triggered a purchase option in Molloy's contract. It is also the first six-figure intraleague fee in league history.

Battery's 2026 USL Championship, Prinx Tires USL Cup Schedules Released
December 16, 2025 - CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Battery announced Tuesday the dates and opponents for the club's 2026 USL Championship and the Prinx Tires USL Cup season. The schedule maps out the Battery's 34th season in club history.
Charleston will kick off the 2026 campaign on March 7 against the defending league champions, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, in Week 1. Battery Paired in Prinx Tires USL Cup Group 6 with Richmond, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Loudoun
December 16, 2025 - The United Soccer League (USL) confirmed Tuesday the group pairings and match dates for the 2026 edition of the Prinx Tires USL Cup, which pits Championship and League One teams against each other in a World Cup-style tournament.
The Charleston Battery will compete in Group 6, and are set to travel to face Loudoun United FC (USLC) on April 25 and the Richmond Kickers (USL1) on May 16, and host Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (USLC) on June 6 and Charlotte Independence (USL1) on July 11.
