Dawgs Make Pair of Moves

December 31, 2025 - The Dawgs made two transactions on Wednesday. The team has called up rookie goalie Gabe Rosek from the FPHL's Monroe Moccasins, and released local goalie Justin Gortman from his emergency backup goaltender role prior to tonight's game. Rosek started his first season with Roanoke, beginning the year on the injured reserve list before he was released on December 4 prior to debuting with the Dawgs. SPHL Suspends Bryce Martin for Three Games

December 30, 2025 - ROANOKE, VA. - The SPHL announced a three-game suspension on Tuesday to Roanoke defenseman Bryce Martin in response to penalties assessed to the veteran blue-liner following the conclusion of Saturday's 2-1 win by the Dawgs over Knoxville. Martin will miss three games after he was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct for cross-checking after the final whistle in that game against the Ice Bears. Dawgs Sign Rookie Defenseman Rosenbaum, Place Claeys on IR

December 29, 2025 - ROANOKE, VA. - The Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Monday that the team has signed rookie defenseman Jordan Rosenbaum. He will wear number 29 for Roanoke. Additionally, the Dawgs have placed goaltender Brody Claeys on the 14-day injured reserve list (retroactive to December 27), and moved rookie forward Trey Fechko from the 14-day injured reserve to the 30-day injured reserve list.
