Thunderbirds Select Two Players in Dispersal Draft

May 22, 2025 - Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds have selected two players in the FPHL Dispersal Draft. Carolina selected forward Jhuwon Davis from Dashers Hockey and defenseman Timur Gavrilovich from the Motor City Rockers. Davis, a native of Southgate, Michigan, played in 37 games this past season with Dashers Hockey scoring eight times and assisting on 12 goals. Carolina's Season Ends in Finals

May 9, 2025 - Binghamton, NY - The Carolina Thunderbirds lost in three games in a best-of-five series in the Commissioners Cup Finals to the Binghamton Black Bears, dropping Game Three, 5-2, on Friday evening at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. Carolina struck first in the 1st period 10:37 into the frame. Gus Ford beat Binghamton netminder Connor McAnanama on the backhand to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 1-0. May 3, 2025 - Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds dropped Game Two of the Commissioners Cup Finals to the Binghamton Black Bears, 1-0, on Saturday evening at the Fairgrounds Arena in front of 2,932 fans. Carolina gave the nod to Boris Babik in net for Game Two opposing Binghamton netminder Connor McAnanama and the two shined in Winston-Salem. Thunderbirds Drop Game One to Black Bears, 4-1

May 2, 2025 - Winston-Salem, NC - The Carolina Thunderbirds fell in Game One of the Commissioners Cup Finals to the Binghamton Black Bears, 4-1, on Friday evening at the Fairgrounds Arena in front of 2,762 fans. Binghamton struck first just 3:33 into the game. Kyle Stephan poked home the opener giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.
