Jai Miller smoked a solo home run in the eighth inning to break a tie game and give the Zephyrs a 4-3 win over Omaha at Rosenblatt Stadium.

The game had six lead changes as the teams combined to leave 23 men on base. Alejandro DeAza smoked the second pitch of the game into the bleacher seats in right field to open the scoring. Tim Raines tied the game with a solo home run and led the Royals with two hits and two RBI.

New Orleans starter Hayden Penn pitched sinnings and got a no decision for his efforts. Jay Buente pitched three innings, allowed one run and earned the win. Chris Chavez suffered the defeat for Omaha. Matt DeSalvo made a couple of nice defensive plays including turning a game ending double play to earn the save.

The win snapped the Zephyrs two game losing streak and evens the series at two.

Game Notes: The Zephyrs Matt DeSalvo becomes the eighth different pitcher to earn a save this season for New Orleans. The Z's are 14-14 in the month of August, in search of their first winning August since 2004.
