EUGENE, OR - Run for your lives! It's Zombie Night at PK Park on July 27. And on July28, it's Old School Hip-Hop Night. The Eugene Emeralds are taking on the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in the first series of the second half of the season.
On Wednesday, in the second game of the series, PK Park has transformed into a post-apocalyptic world and the Ems need your help to save mankind! Go dressed as a zombie, or try to survive the apocalypse in your best end-of-the-world gear. Be careful, as surprises lurk around every corner of PK Park!
Thursday is the series finale and the Emeralds are kicking it old school yo! Get jiggy with the Emeralds because this is how they do it! Dress in your hip gear and hop on down to PK Park as we celebrate the Cultural Revolution that spread nationwide. I gotta say, this is going to be a good day. "Insert 90's TV-show reference here".
The Kendall Community Spotlight on Wednesday, July 27, is the United Way who believe that we all have a stake in what befalls our fellow man. We all benefit when a child succeeds in school, when someone finds a job that will help them provide for their family, or when more people are able to access quality, affordable health care.
The Kendall Community Spotlight on Thursday, July 28, is Bikers Against Child Abuse. They exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. They stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization.
The Eugene Emeralds are the short-season Class A team of the Chicago Cubs. In 2015, six of the top 30 Cubs prospects spent time in Eugene including Ian Happ, Donnie Dewees and Eloy Jimenez.
