Yetman Named to ECHL All-Star Team

AUGUSTA, GA— The Augusta Lynx are proud to announce the selection of Left Wing Patrick Yetman to the Southern Conference All-Star team for the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition to be held on January 20-21 at TECO Arena in Estero, Florida. Yetman will be making his second straight appearance in the All-Star game, both times representing the Augusta Lynx. In his appearance at last year's All-Star game, Yetman notched one assists in the Southern Conference 7-6 win.

The 5'10, 175 pound twenty-two year old New Foundland native finished third on the Lynx roster last season with forty-eight points from twenty-five goals and twenty-three assists in sixty-one games. Yetman was the Lynx's leading rookie scorer and was named to the ECHL All-Rookie team last season. He is currently second on the Lynx team in scoring with seventeen points from seven goals and ten assists in twenty-six games. Yetman, who is currently under contract with the Hartford Wolfpack of the American Hockey League, has also netted a pair of shorthanders this season.

Coach David Wilkie and the rest of the Lynx organization are "extremely happy for Patrick. He's a young player who's played well. It's a good opportunity for him to showcase his talents."

The Lynx are on the road this weekend in Columbus, GA against the Columbus Cottonmouths Friday, December 21 and in Charleston, SC to battle the number one ranked South Carolina Stingrays Saturday, December 22. They will also be in Columbia, SC playing the Columbia Inferno Thursday, December 26th. The Lynx will return home Friday, December 27th to host the Columbus Cottonmouths at 7:35 pm.
