Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release

BILOXI, Miss. – Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today the acquisition of defenseman Curtis Menzul (MEN-zul) from the Toledo Storm for future considerations.

Menzul, 26, played 12 games with Toledo this season, picking up two assists and 32 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Winnipeg, Manitoba also appeared in one game with the Greenville Grrrowl this year. Menzul will wear uniform number two and is expected to make his Mississippi on Saturday night at home at 7:35 p.m. against the Jackson Bandits.

"Menzul is a steady, hard-nosed defenseman," said Woods. "With blueliner Austin Miller injured, we expect Menzul to fill the void."

Mississippi begins three straight home games in three consecutive days tomorrow at 7:35 p.m against the Louisiana IceGators. Saturday night, the Sea Wolves entertain the Jackson Bandits at 7:35 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Then on Sunday, Mississippi is at home to the Arkansas RiverBlades at 5:05 p.m. at the Wolves Den.
