Yepez Continues Hot Stretch in Memphis Loss at Norfolk

MEMPHIS, TN - The Memphis Redbirds continued a 12-game road trip with a 5-2 loss to the Norfolk Tides at Harbor Park on Saturday night.
First baseman Juan Yepez supplied the only two runs for Memphis in Saturday's loss. The right-handed slugger extended his double-digit hit streak with a 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
Left-handed pitcher Connor Thomas allowed two runs on nine hits in his 6.0-inning start. Thomas walked one batter and struck out four batters.
The Redbirds (67-76) return to AutoZone Park on Tuesday, Sept. 19 to begin the final homestand of the season at 6:45p.m. CDT against the Charlotte Knights.
