Ft. Worth, TX-----Mike Murphy's third hit of the game, a single in the ninth inning, drove home Derek Schermerhorn with the winning run as the Explorers squeezed out a 3-2 victory Sunday over Ft. Worth.

Schermerhorn started the ninth inning laying down a bunt in which losing pitcher Nick DeBarr threw away at first base allowing Schermerhorn to reach second. Schermerhorn then stole third base, his second stolen base of the game which set up the winning hit by Murphy.

Explorers starting pitcher Taylor King was excellent in his first appearance. The Canadian righthander struck out nine and didn't walk a batter in seven innings. Matt Gibbs pitched the eighth inning to pick up his second win of the season while Emiliano Fruto retired Ft. Worth in order in the ninth to record his first save of the year.

The first game will start at 10am while the second contest will begin at 7:05.
