THE LEAD OFF: The Power beat the Intimidators 11-4 on Wednesday night, racking up 12 hits and walking 12 times. Jerrick Suiter drove in Cole Tucker in the first, Elvis Escobar tripled in Francisco Diaz in the second, Chase Simpson hit a two-run homer in the third and Jordan Luplow tripled in Tyler Filliben in the fourth for a 5-0 lead. After Kannapolis got on the board in the fourth, Michael Suchy extended the lead with a three-run shot in the sixth and the Power added three more in the seventh. Austin Coley was the benefactor of the runs, winning his tenth game of the season with five innings pitched. Tucker paced West Virginia with four hits and Suchy had the club's second four RBI game of the season.

1,080 FEET: West Virginia batters walked 12 times Wednesday, matching the franchise record for walks by the offense in a single game. The last time the Power walked 12 times in one game was on July 22, 2010, in a 15-inning game against Savannah at Appalachian Power Park. The first was in a 14-inning game at Hagerstown in 2005.

DOUBLE DIGITS: Austin Coley earned his tenth win of the season on Wednesday and became only the fourth pitcher in Power history to reach double-digit victories. Coley has matched Rudy Owens (2009) and Will Inman (2006) for the second-most wins in a single season and trails only Evan Anundsen's franchise record of 12 wins during the 2008 campaign. Anundsen accomplished the record over 28 starts.

FOUR! Cole Tucker went 4-5 on Wednesday (and walked once) for his first career four hit game. The effort raised the shortstop's average up to .293, the highest it has been since May 4 (.296).

AH SUCHY SUCHY NOW: Michael Suchy's sixth inning home run was the first long ball this season that wasn't a solo or two-run shot. West Virginia is one of four teams in the league without at least one grand slam this season (Augusta, Hickory and Savannah). Suchy's home run also extended his hitting streak to six straight. The outfielder is batting .556 since Friday, June 26.

EVENED UP: West Virginia continues a four-game series against the Kannapolis Intimidators tonight on the road. The Power hold a 58-57 lead in the all-time series with two games remaining in this set and a five-game series at Intimidators Stadium to close the 2015 season.

JUNE'S SWOON: Despite the strong start to the second half, the Power finished June with a 12-13 record. The team batting average for the month was .250, just slightly behind May's .254 clip. The staff ERA, however, was 4.37; over a full run and a half high than the May earned run average and second highest in the league from June 1-30.

46 AND COUNTING: Ryan Kelly was promoted to the Atlanta Braves roster on Sunday and made his Major League debut on Tuesday evening. Kelly is the 46th former Power player to reach the Majors and second this season. Kelly pitched for West Virginia in 2009 and 2010. The 2009 club now has ten players that have gone on to reach the bigs, marking the most from any one season in Power history.

PROMO UPDATE- JULY 4: West Virginia's Fourth of July Celebration will feature an extended version of postgame fireworks for all fans in attendance as the Power celebrate Independence Day.

POWER POINTS: West Virginia's 54 sacrifice bunts this season are the most in affiliated baseball... The Power left a season-high 14 men on base in Wednesday's 11-4 win.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh beat Detroit 9-3, using 21 hits to suffocate the Tigers. Neil Walker and Starling Marte had four apiece... Indianapolis beat Columbus 2-1 thanks, in part, to Alen Hanson's fifth inning inside-the-park home run... Altoona blanked Trenton 2-0. Stephen Brault earned his first Double-A win... Bradenton fell to Charlotte 5-2... The Black Bears lost 5-2 at State College.

ON THE AIR: West Virginia Power games can be heard on Charleston's ESPN 104.5 FM and 1490 AM in Charleston, online at wvpower.com and on the TuneIn Radio App. Adam Marco will call the action once again and will be joined by Mike Baggerman when the team plays at Appalachian Power Park.
