
Braves Get Win Over Legends 5-1

Rome, GA - Rome the game Thursday evening at State Mutual Stadium as Rome shutout Lexington 5-0 before 2,062 fans.
The Braves scored twice in the first inning on a run scoring double by Matt Tellor and an RBI single by Braxton Davidson. Rome added a run in the fifth when Ozzie Albies tripled home Joseph Daris for the 3-0 score. The seventh inning saw two runners cross the plate. Tanner Murphy (1) launched a solo shot to left and an error by shortstop Humberto Arteaga allowed the second run to score in the inning. Lexington threatened in the ninth scoring a run but Rome's bullpen held on for the 5-1 victory.
Zach Quintana (1-1) earns the win for Rome and Lexington's Scott Blewett (2-1) is tagged with the loss. Dustin Emmons picks up his second save of the season.
