
Wranglers Win in Shootout, 4-3

Las Vegas, NV- One night after falling to Utah, the Las Vegas Wranglers(r) bounced back to defeat the Grizzlies in a shootout. Goaltender Michael Ouzas tallied his third win of the season turning away 30 of 33 in regulation and overtime as well as holding Utah to 1-4 in the shootout. Aaron Power, Ryan Huddy and Ned Lukacevic all tallied for Las Vegas. Utah goalie Andrew Engelage earned his first shootout loss of the season making 33 saves on 36 shots and allowing three goals on four shots in the shootout.
The first period saw only one goal from Utah's Tim Crowder at the 14:51 mark with the assist going to Michael Gergen.
The Wranglers were able to bounce back in the second period with two unanswered goals. The first goal was earned by Aaron Power at the 12:52 mark with assists credited to Ned Lukacevic and Colin Long. The Wranglers took the lead at the 13:37 mark with a goal from Ryan Huddy assisted by Blair Riley and Tyler Mosienko. Just before the period ended, Tim Crowder found the back of the net with an assist from brother, Paul Crowder, and Michael Gergen. The second period ended knotted at two.
In the third period the Wranglers took the lead for the second time with a goal at the 3:51 mark from Ned Lukacevic assisted by Colin Long. The Grizzlies answered back to tie the game at 9:31 with a goal from Ric Jackman assisted by Riley Armstrong. After three periods of play, the game was tied at three.
Neither team was able to score in overtime as the Wranglers took two shots while holding the Grizzlies to zero shots.
The shootout saw three goals from the Wranglers and one from Utah. Scoring for Wranglers were Vince Bellissimo, Blair Riley and Ryan Huddy. The lone shootout goal for Utah came from Michael Gergen.
The Wranglers host the Victoria Salmon Kings for a three game set starting on Thursday, November 11th. The puck drops at 7:05 pm.
The Las Vegas Wranglers(r) are the ECHL affiliate to the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes and the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage.
