Wranglers Take Award for Third Straight Year
March 28, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers were named by the Las Vegas Review-Journal Newspaper as the Best Sports Team in Town, as voted by the staff, online votes and readers.
In only their third year of existence, the Wranglers have won the award three consecutive years in a row. This year marks the first time the team was selected by both the readers and the staff. In 2004 and 2005, the RJ staff voted the Wranglers as the Best Local Sports Team. This year the RJ stated, "They rebounded to notch a winning season this year with a gutsy squad that did the city proud." The RJ added. "The Wranglers are also one of the best sports values in town, with some tickets hovering around the $10 mark. All things considered, the Wranglers put the competition on ice".
In 2005, the Wranglers tied the UNLV Men's Basketball team in votes by the readers for Best Local Sports Team.
This coming Tuesday night, Las Vegas will host Stockton at 7:05 pm. The San Diego Gulls visit Las Vegas next Friday at 7:05 pm. The first 2,000 fans on March 31st receive a Wranglers team card set.
