Wheeling Nailers News Release

READING, PA - Cam Paddock knows that the game ends when the final horn sounds and that is exactly how he played in a very important must win game for the Nailers Tuesday night in Reading.

In the first period the Royals took control of the game scoring two goals and holding the Nailers to just one shot on goal for the period.

The second period Tuesday night may turn out to be one of the biggest and best performances for this Nailers team this season. Trailing by two goals the line of Mihaly, Collins, and McLean stepped up with each scoring a goal . Later Bo Cheesman added the fourth goal of the period off of a nice drop pass by Cam Paddock. The Nailers took a 4-2 lead into the locker room.

In the third period Reading showed that they were not going to go

away and tied the game with two quick goals less than a minute apart. Tied at 4 ,each team buckled down holding the other scoreless. With the game looking like it was heading to over time and with :09 left in the game, Cam Paddock picked up the puck behind his goal and started up ice. He broke through the neutral zone and darted to the face off circle where he beat the Royal goal tender with just .08 left in the game. The goal may turn out to be one of the most important goals of the year. With the win the Nailers now trail Reading by 1 point and have two game sin hand.

These same two teams will do battle for first place this Friday night at WesBanco Arena. Face off is set for 7:30 pm. For more information or to order tickets call the Nailers office at 304-234-GOAL or online at www.wheelingnailers.com
