Wranglers Sweep Roadrunners, Head To Bakersfield Next

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a 2-0-0 record this week with two wins in Phoenix. Saturday night, Las Vegas scored three power-play goals en route to a 6-2 win at U.S. Airways Center. On Sunday, the Wranglers followed up with a 5-1 victory.

The Wranglers continue on their five-game road trip with three games in Bakersfield. Las Vegas will play at 10:30 am on Wednesday morning at Rabobank Arena as part of the Condors School Field Trip Day. The Wranglers remain in Bakersfield for a second game on Friday at 7:00 pm and a third game on Sunday at 5:00 pm.

Phoenix, AZ - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Phoenix RoadRunners 6-2 at the U.S. Airways Center on Saturday night. Forward Adam Cracknell scored twice and defenseman Aaron Power dished out three assists as the Wranglers moved into a tie for first place with Stockton in the Pacific Division. The team set a new team record with 28 shots in the third period and tied the team record for most shots in a game with 58. Las Vegas goalie Daniel Manzato made his Las Vegas debut, stopping 23 Phoenix shots for the win. Phoenix goalie Cody Rudkowsky stopped 52 shots in the defeat. Rookie center Justin Donati dished out two assists and center Chris Ferraro also added a goal and an assist as the Wranglers improved to 15-2-2 all-time against Phoenix.

Phoenix, AZ - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Phoenix RoadRunners 5-1 at the U.S. Airways Center on Sunday night. Forwards Tyler Mosienko and Curtis Fraser each scored a goal and added three assists as the Wranglers outscored Phoenix 11-3 in the two-game set. Las Vegas goalie Tim Boron improved to 2-1-0 by stopping 37 Phoenix shots in the win. Defensemen Aaron Power and Gerry Burke and forward Brandon Kaleniecki each scored in the victory.

In nine games, the veteran winger has three goals and eight points. Forward Tim Konsorada leads the team with six goals and four assists for ten points in 12 games. Winger Brett Lutes and defensemen Joe Dustin are also tied for the team lead in scoring with ten points each. Forward Eric Sonnenberg and defenseman Reagan Leslie are tied for the team lead with 34 penalty minutes each. Goalie Jamie Hodson is 1-4-2 with a 2.91 goals against average and a .906 save percentage. Fellow netminder, Yutaka Fukufuji is 3-2-0 with a 4.01 goals against average and a .864 save percentage. Bakersfield ranks 11th on the power play and 18th on the penalty kill.
