Idaho Steelheads News Release

THIRD TIME'S A CHARM

Try, try as they might, the Steelheads finally beat the Alaska Aces, 7-1, in the final game of a three-game homestand on Saturday night at Qwest Arena. The win snapped a four-game winless streak (0-2-2). Idaho gained a point in each of the prior two games, losing 4-3 in a shootout loss on Wednesday and an overtime loss with the same score on Friday. Losses after 60-minutes of regulation play are considered a tie; the winning team receives two points as usual for a win, and the losing team receives a point for a "tie." Of a possible six points out of the series, the Steelheads took four.

Idaho hosts the Utah Grizzlies this week for a Wednesday and Friday night set.
