
Fretter and Painchaud Recalled to AHL Chicago

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced on Monday that center Colton Fretter and right wing Chad Painchaud have been reassigned to the AHL's Chicago Wolves. Fretter and Painchaud were assigned to Gwinnet on November 8.
In two games with the Gladiators, Fretter scored two goals including an empty net tally in Gwinnett's 6-4 win over the Mississippi Sea Wolves on Friday night. Fretter also tallied four penalty minutes and posted a +3 plus/minus rating in his two games with Gwinnett.
Painchaud scored one goal in his two games in Gwinnet. His goal proved to be the game-winner in the Gladiators' win over Mississippi. Painchaud also logged 2 minutes in the penalty box with Gwinnett and finished the weekend with a +1 rating.
Both players will rejoin the Chicago Wolves, the Atlanta Thrashers' AHL affiliate.
The Gladiators continue their fifth anniversary season on Friday, November 16th as they host the South Carolina Stingrays at the Arena at Gwinnett Center at 7:35 p.m. Catch all the play-by-play action in Friday's game via Accessnorthga.com audio stream channel 3.
Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier 'AA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that has 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning Oct. 18 and concluding Apr. 5.
