THE WEEK THAT WAS - (2-1-0)

November 7, 2007 - The Wheeling Nailers were shutout for the first time this season by a score of 4-0 in Cincinnati. It was the first of 11 meetings between the clubs. David Brown stopped 31 of 35 and the Nailers did not score a power-play goal in game for the first time all season.

November 9, 2007 - The Nailers got a quick start and never looked back, defeating the Reading Royals 6-2 at WesBanco Arena. With Wheeling ahead 2-1 in the second period, Adam Henrich scored three goals in a span of 7:10 to record the hat trick. Kevin Du and Aaron Boogaard both scored their first professional goals in the game.

November 11, 2007 - Sean Collins, Ned Havern and Adam Henrich combined for seven of the Nailers 11 points in their 4-1 win over the Augusta Lynx. Havern scored twice, Collins and three more assists and Henrich has one of each. David Brown was sharp allowing just one goal on 36 shots.

Notes -

Since When?...Adam Henrich's hat trick on Friday night was the first Wheeling Nailers hat trick since Eric Sonnenberg's on January 20, 2006 and the first Nailers hat trick at WesBanco Arena since Bo Cheesman's on December 28, 2005.

Special Teams... The Nailers power play and penalty kill are both ranked 5th in the league. Wheeling allowed just one power-play goal this week on 22 penalty kills and have not allowed a goal in their last 20. Their power play scored twice on Friday night and have scored in every game this season except for two.

Top Line Talent...Sean Collins, Ned Havern and Adam Henrich account for 41% of the Nailers goals and total points this season.

Helping Out... Sean Collins has no goals but leads the ECHL with 14 assists. He has 5 assists in his last two games.
