
Wranglers rope Falcons, 7-2, win fourth straight

LAS VEGAS, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers (28-6-3, 59 points) defeated the Fresno Falcons (19-6-8, 46 points) 7-2 in front of 6,677 fans Friday night at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers forwards Matt Dzieduszycki and Chris Neiszner each scored twice as the Wranglers moved to 16-1-2 at home this season. Left wing Todd Alexander added a goal and an assist in the team's fourth straight victory. Las Vegas goalie Mike McKenna made 22 saves, improving to 11-1-1 on the season. Las Vegas will host the Phoenix Roadrunners on Saturday night at 7:05 PST at the Orleans Arena.
In the first period, Chris Neiszner scored on the Wranglers first shot of the night at 7:45 of the opening period. Eighteen-seconds later, Nick Anderson put Las Vegas in front 2-0. Winger Marco Peluso added the Wranglers third goal of the period at 9:00. All three goals were scored in a 1:15 span.
In the second period, Fresno defenseman Dustin Vanballegooie scored 3:04 into the period. The Wranglers countered, as Matt Dzieduszycki scored at 9:29 of the period, giving Las Vegas a 4-1 lead.
In the third period, Dzieduszycki scored his second goal of the game to extend the Las Vegas lead to 5-1 at 7:00. Neiszner scored his second goal of the night to push the Wranglers lead to 6-1 at 9:44. Todd Alexander then added a short-handed goal to give the Wranglers a 7-1 lead at 11:15. Fresno's John Wroblewski scored the final goal of the night for the Falcons, for the final score of 7-2.
Saturday, the 14th, fans can catch the Wranglers and the Phoenix Roadrunners at 7:05 pm. Crazy Cameron will be on hand to
provide some additional entertainment. Saturday, fans will be able to attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party on the
concourse of the Orleans Arena from 4:30 - 6:30 pm.
