Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team has re-signed left wing Dana Lattery.

Lattery returns for his second season in Las Vegas after a successful rookie campaign. The 25 year-old left wing scored 11 goals and dished out 14 assists for 25 points in 32 games with the Wranglers last season. Lattery was selected to represent Las Vegas at the 2005 ECHL All-Star Game in Reading, PA on January 26th. Lattery helped the National Conference to a 6-2 win over the American Conference by assisting on the game-tying goal. The Cochrane, ALTA native earned three separate call ups to the American Hockey League during his first season of professional hockey. Lattery played in 32 games for the Utah Grizzlies, posting one goal and five assists for six points in two separate stints with Utah. The ECHL All-Star also played in eight games for the Providence Bruins, totaling one assist and 20 penalty minutes. Lattery played in a total of 72 games last season with 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points, while also adding 107 penalty minutes.

By re-signing Lattery, the Wranglers now have five signed players on their roster. Lattery joins goalie Marc Magliarditi, defenseman Mike McBain and forwards Chris Stanley and Dan Tudin for the upcoming 2005-06 season.

"We are happy and fortunate to have him back," said Wranglers General Manager / Head Coach Glen Gulutzan. "There is a chance he could play in the AHL, he's earned the right to play there. If he does not make it to the AHL this season, then we will be more than happy to have him here in Las Vegas."

The Calgary Flames announced the team has re-signed former Las Vegas goalie Brent Krahn. Krahn played in the Wranglers Inaugural season going 7-5-2 with a 2.61 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. Last season, the Flames First Round Pick in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft (#9 Overall), posted a 20-11-2 record with a 2.49 goals against average with the AHL's Lowell Lock Monsters. Krahn was named as the AHL's Goalie of the Month in November after posting a 5-1-0 record, three shutouts, a 1.65 goals against average, and a .945 save percentage.

Las Vegas will open the 2005-06 season on the road in Utah on October 21st. The home opener is set for Tuesday, October 25th at 7:05 pm against the Utah Grizzlies. The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
