Wranglers Fall 3-1 to Grizzlies

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers fell 3-1 to the Utah Grizzlies tonight, ending 2013 with an 8-17-3 record.

Sixteen seconds into the game, Wranglers left wing Adam Huxley beat Grizzlies goalie Aaron Dell for an immediate 1-0 lead. The one-goal game carried over to the second period, and a late goal from Grizzlies forward Vinny Scarsella tied the game 1-1 at the 18:26 mark.

With less than nine minutes left in the game, Grizzlies forward Michael Pelech scored to give Utah their first lead of the night. The Wranglers were unable to respond, and with goalie Travis Fullerton pulled for the man advantage, Grizzlies forward David Vallorani tallied an empty net goal for the 3-1 victory.

The Wranglers open the new year with the return of the Indoor Winter Classic on Wednesday, Jan. 1, at 2:05 p.m. Las Vegas will don the first specialty jersey of the season and hold an auction on the concourse during the game, and fans are invited to skate with the team after the game for free.
