
Wranglers Earn Point in 3-2 OT Loss to Eagles

Loveland, Colo. -- Earning a point in the overtime loss, the Las Vegas Wranglers fell 3-2 to the Colorado Eagles tonight.
Las Vegas tallied the first goal of the night midway through the first period as right wing Sean Wiles scored a power play goal for the 1-0 lead. The Wranglers doubled their advantage almost 20 minutes later, with defenseman Josh Godfrey adding another power play goal in the last seven minutes of the second.
Colorado managed a comeback in the third, with a goal from defenseman Jake Marto at the 6:41 mark and the tying goal less than three minutes later off the stick of forward Kyle Ostrow on a power play. The 2-2 score held through regulation, but the Eagles only needed 22 seconds of overtime to secure the 3-2 win.
The two teams meet again tomorrow night in Colorado at 6:05 p.m. When the Wranglers return home on Sunday, Dec. 16, the puck will drop against the Bakersfield Condors at 11:59 p.m. as the 10th annual Midnight Game returns to Orleans Arena. Tonight's full box score can be found here .
