
Cody Reichard Named ECHL Goaltender of the Week

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, announced in conjunction with the ECHL that Thunder goaltender Cody Reichard (RIGH-card) has been named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Dec. 3-9.
Reichard, 25, went 2-0-1 with one shutout, a 1.30 goals-against average and a save percentage of .966 in three appearances last week.
He totaled 38 saves in a 3-1 win against Las Vegas on"ËTuesday and then posted his first career shutout with 38 saves in a 1-0 victory over the Wranglers on Wednesday.
Reichard ended the week with 39 saves in a 4-3 shootout loss at Las Vegas on Saturday, helping the Thunder run its streak to five consecutive games without a regulation loss.

A native of Celina, Ohio, Reichard has appeared in nine games with the Thunder this season posting a record of 5-1-2 with one shutout, a 2.57 goals-against average and a save percentage of .915.
Reichard played the previous four seasons at Miami University, appearing in 92 career games with an overall record of 53-24-9 with 12 shutouts, a 2.10 goals-against average and a save percentage of .912."ËAs a sophomore in 2009-10, he was the CCHA Player of the Year, a first-team All-CCHA selection, second team West All-American and one of 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award.
