Wranglers Add First Goaltender

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL announced today the signing of goaltender Marc Magliarditi. The signing of the goaltender brings the Wranglers' total to 11 signed players for the upcoming 2003-04 season.
"It's always a good situation when you can get a proven number one goalie in the ECHL," said Wranglers' General Manager and Head Coach Glen Gulutzan. "Magliarditi was a guy on a lot of other teams' list and we are lucky to have him. He is a solid goaltender who will bring more leadership to the ice and locker room."
Magliarditi (pronounced â Mag-lee-are-ditt-ee) enters his seventh season of professional hockey after spending last season with the Richmond Renegades of the ECHL. Magliarditi led the Renegades with 23 wins in net for the 2002-03 season. The Niagara Falls, NY native finished the year with a 3.04 goals against average and a save percentage of .904. Prior to his time with the Renegades, Magliarditi suited up for the 2001-02 Louisiana Ice Gators, who set a league record with 116 points and 56 wins. During that season, the 27-year old finished 28-7-1 with a 2.26 goals against average. He also posted a career high .924 save percentage. Magliarditi has at least 20 wins in four of his last five seasons in the ECHL. For his career, Magliarditi has a 151-81-20 record, with a 2.69 goals against average. The newest member of the Wranglers also has a .909 career save percentage. The 5-foot-10 netminder was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in Round 6 (#146 Overall) during the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
