WOLVES HEADLINERS

--- BRETT STERLING: Established a franchise record by registering at least one goal in nine consecutive contests from Dec. 12 to 29, racking up 13 during that span ... Leads the AHL with 34 goals - eight more markers than the next-closet competitor - and 15 power-play tallies ... Paces the AHL with 53 points in 34 tilts with DARREN HAYDAR on recall to Atlanta

--- CORY LAROSE: Registered points in each of his last 10 games, racking up 24 points (5G, 19A) during that span ... Notched at least one helper in each of his last 10 outings, tied for the third longest assist streak in the AHL this season ... Shares sixth in the AHL with a team-best 24 assists and ranks second on the team with 32 points despite playing in just 20 of the squad's 36 contests

--- STEVE MARTINS: Recorded a goal on Saturday, his first in five games and seventh of the season which shares fourth on the team ... Held to two points (G, A) in his last five games after notching six (2G, 4A) in his previous five outings ... Shares third on the club with 16 assists and with 23 points in 29 tilts

--- JIMMY SHARROW: Tallied a power-play goal and an assist in his last two games after being held off the scoresheet in his previous four outings ... Shares 12th among AHL defensemen and sixth on the Wolves with 18 points (4G, 14A) in 34 outings this season ... Accrued two goals and 19 points in 47 tilts with Chicago last year

GOAL FIGURE

Saturday's loss against Rochester marked the 32nd time in 36 games this season that the Wolves lit the lamp at least three times. Chicago has potted an AHL-high 169 goals this season (4.69 per game), the most in franchise history through 36 outings. The squad has dented the net 25 more times than the next closet club in the league (Hershey, 144).

WOLF TRACKS

--- Chicago shares the AHL lead with 25 wins and ranks second with 53 points overall in the standings (25-8-1-2).

--- Saturday's loss against Rochester marked the Wolves' first in regulation since Dec. 9, a span of 10 games; the squad has not dropped a regulation decision to a West Division opponent in 12 straight contests.

--- Four of Chicago's eight regulation losses have been dealt by North Division rivals this season (2-4-0-0), including Saturday's loss against Rochester; the Wolves have posted a 21-3-1-2 record against their own division.

--- Friday's win at Peoria marked the team's AHL-leading 16th in 19 tilts away from the Allstate Arena, already matching last season's overall road victory total (16-15-2-7).

--- Chicago netted its eighth short-handed goal of the season on Saturday, tied for the fourth-most in the AHL.

Number of shots the Wolves allowed in Saturday's loss against Rochester, tied for the fewest shots by a Chicago opponent in franchise history; the squad held the Americans to just two shots in the second period, the least by an opponent in a single frame this season.

Sat., Dec. 30 Rochester 5, (at) Chicago 3
--- The Rochester Americans registered five goals on just 15 shots as they downed the Wolves, 5-3, at the Allstate Arena
--- Forwards STEVE MARTINS and JARED ROSS and defenseman JIMMY SHARROW netted Chicago's goals
--- Goaltender FRED BRATHWAITE recorded 10 saves in the loss

Fri., Dec. 29 Chicago 6, (at) Peoria 3
--- The Wolves jumped out to a 4-0 second-period lead and never looked back as they dealt the Peoria Rivermen a 6-3 loss at Carver Arena
--- Six Chicago players tallied multiple points, including DARREN HAYDAR (2G, 2A) and CORY LAROSE (3A)
--- Netminder MICHAEL GARNETT turned in a 40-save effort

Wed., Dec. 27 Houston 4, (at) Chicago 3 (SO)
--- Chicago surrendered a two-goal, first period lead and rallied to force overtime before falling, 4-3, in the shootout against the Houston Aeros at the Allstate Arena
--- Right wing DARREN HAYDAR led the offense with one goal and two assists while blueliner MARK POPOVIC (2A) and center CORY LAROSE (G, A) each contributed two points
--- Goaltender FRED BRATHWAITE posted 41 saves in regulation and overtime

Tue., Dec. 26 Chicago 5, (at) Milwaukee 4 (OT)
--- The Wolves battled back four times in regulation then sunk the Milwaukee Admirals, 5-4, with an overtime goal from KEVIN DOELL at the Bradley Center
--- Linemates DARREN HAYDAR and CORY LAROSE each posted three assists while ALEX BOURRET and KYLE WANVIG both tallied a goal and an assist
--- Netminder MICHAEL GARNETT accrued 28 saves
