Blues Sign Linglet to NHL Contract

Peoria, Ill. (January 1, 2007) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has signed forward Charles Linglet to an NHL contract.

Linglet, 24, has played in 27 games for the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate Peoria Rivermen this season. He ranks first on the club with 17 goals and is tied for third with 25 points. The 6-2, 212-pound left winger captured AHL Player of the Week honors for the week ending Dec. 3 when he registered six points (four goals, two assists) in three games along with a plus-four rating.

Linglet is currently in his fourth season of playing professional hockey in both the AHL and ECHL. The Montreal native played junior hockey in the QMJHL for Baie-Comeau Drakkar and posted a 52-goal season in 2001-02. Linglet will remain with the Rivermen.

On Wednesday, January 3, the Rivermen host the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights on another Nesquik Wacky Wednesday. Fans receive a Buy One, Get One Free Upper Bowl ticket offer when they present a Nesquik cap or UPC label at the box office. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at Carver Arena.
