Wolves Fall in Nations Capital

The Sudbury Wolves opened up their 3 - in - 3 weekend Friday night with a stop in the Nation's Capital to face the Ottawa 67's. The 67's scored early and often in this contest, defeating the Wolves by a final score of 8-2.
The 67's got off to a strong start in the first, making it 1-0 less than 2 minutes into the frame. They then scored three more in the opening frame to take a 4-0 lead after 20 minutes.
They notched two more in the second to extend their lead to 6-0 after 40 minutes. The 6th goal of the game came within the final second of the period, and went under review before being ruled a goal.
The Wolves will finally able to capitalize on some of their chances in the third. The Wolves and 67's exchanged two goals each for a final score of 8-2. ALAN LYSZCZARCZYK and DMITRY SOKOLOV each notched one for the Wolfpack. Final shots on goal were 37-15 in favour of the 67's.
Jeremiah Addison added 2 goals and an assist for the 67's in the match, en-route to being named the game's first star. Troy Timpano made 29 saves in net for the Wolves, while Leo Lazarev made 13 to pick up the win.
The Wolves will look to rebound Saturday night in Peterborough as they visit the Petes at 7:05. Fans can follow the Wolves on the road by tuning into the live play-by-play on KFM 95.5 with Stew Kernan.
