Wolves Congratulate Derek MacKenzie

The Sudbury Wolves and the Burgess Family would like to congratulate former Sudbury Wolves captain DEREK MACKENZIE on his signing of a new 3-year NHL contract with the Florida Panthers. Mackenzie, 33, has played with the Columbus Blue Jackets for the past five seasons and had one of his best seasons in 2013-14 with 9 goals and 9 assists in 71 games played. MacKenzie helped lead the Blue Jackets into the play-offs last season for the first time in five years. Derek is the son of Wolves' Assistant GM Ken MacKenzie.
