LONDON, ONTARIO: The 2014 CHL Import Draft took place online today with the London Knights holding the 52nd and 112th selections. With the Knights' first pick, General Manager Mark Hunter selected defenseman Julius Bergman from Froulunda of the Swedish Junior League.
A 2nd round (46th overall) selection of the San Jose Sharks in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft last weekend in Philadelphia, Bergman has experience having played with Sweden at the U17's and U18's as well as with the Swedish second-tier league.
With the Knights' second pick of the day, Hunter selected Russian forward Daniil Miromanov. Miromanov played last season with the GTHL's Toronto Jr. Canadiens.
