Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves have acquired defenseman TIM FILANGIERI (fill-an-JEER-ee) from the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) for future considerations.

The 22-year-old blueliner made his professional debut in one game with Syracuse last season, following the conclusion of a four-year career with Boston College (Hockey East.) He also appeared in the Crunch's season opener against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday, notching two penalty minutes.

The Islip Terrace, N.Y., native matched a career high with eight assists in 35 games during his senior season at Boston College in 2008-09. Overall, FILANGIERI recorded 20 points (3G, 17A) and 165 penalty minutes in 157 career outings with Boston College from 2005 to 2009.

Chicago will face Western Conference rivals the Manitoba Moose twice this weekend, beginning with a game at the MTS Centre on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
