Florida Panthers Sign Forward Victor Oreskovich

(Rochester, NY)... Florida Panthers General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the club has agreed to terms with RW Victor Oreskovich (oh-rehs-KOH-vitch) on a two-way contract.

Oreskovich, 23, attended training camp with the Panthers and played in four games with Florida during the preseason. The Oakville, Ontario native spent the 2006-07 campaign playing for the Kitchener Rangers (OHL) under the direction of Panthers Head Coach Pete DeBoer, recording 60 points (28-32-60). Oreskovich was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the second round (55th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Florida (1-1-0) travels to Raleigh to face the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, October 9th, before hosting the New Jersey Devils in their home opener on Saturday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m. Both games can been seen on FS Florida and heard on the radio at SportsTalk 790 The Ticket.
