Crunch Sign Defenseman Nick St. Pierre

Syracuse, NY (October 8, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Nick St. Pierre to a professional tryout contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

St. Pierre, 24, appeared in 10 games with the Crunch last season, collecting one assist and eight penalty minutes. He also skated in 36 games with Colgate (ECAC) last year, notching four goals, 13 assists and 28 penalty minutes.

A native of St. Etienne, Quebec, St. Pierre spent four years at Colgate (ECAC), appearing in 147 games from 2005-09, collecting 14 goals, 48 assists and 127 penalty minutes.

The Crunch travel to Binghamton on Friday, October 9 to take on the B-Sens before opening up at home when they face Adirondack on Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m. Season tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
