Doug Wright scored twice while Joel Stepp and Joel Perrault each recorded a goal and an assist in a 5-2 victory over the Gwinnett Gladiators on Sunday.

After falling behind on an early five-on-three power play goal from Scott Kelman, the Lynx responded as Wright notched his first of the night with help from Stepp and Nicolas Corbeil at 18:12 to tie the game at 1-1 through 20 minutes of play.

Stepp would then notch an unassisted shorthanded goal while the Lynx faced their second five-on-three of the contest. Jason Wolfe stood on his head and kept the game tied, allowing Stepp to pick off an errant pass at his own blue line, race down the ice and beat Gladiators goaltender Sean Fields (21 saves) with a deke to the stick side.

Chris Leinweber would then push the lead to 3-2, following up a rush from BJ Gaustad and Joel Perrault for the eventual game-winning goal. Milan Gajic brought the Gladiators back within a goal courtesy of a power play marker at 17:41, but Gwinnett would get no closer.

Wrights second goal of the evening from Ryan Lang provided a two-goal cushion at 9:47, while Perrault cemented the win with a power play marker at 17:34 from Dan Sullivan.

Making several fantastic saves throughout the evening, Jason Wolfe turned in one of his best performances of the year in turning aside 35 of 37 shots. His goaltending heroics enabled the Lynx to grab and play with the lead later in the hockey game, and helped the team earn four out of six points on the weekend.

The Lynx finished the night 1-for-4 on the power play while Gwinnett went 2-for-6.

The Lynx will get back to action against the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday night, followed by a Saturday appearance from the Greenville Grrrowl, with both games at the new starting time of 7:35 pm.
