
Wolf Pack Host "Hometown Hero Night" This Saturday

HARTFORD, December 9, 2009: The Hartford Wolf Pack's home game at the XL Center this Saturday night, December 12 vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers is "Hometown Hero Night". Faceoff for this GEICO Connecticut Cup contest is 7:00 PM.
At Hometown Hero Night the Wolf Pack will be celebrating the gallant efforts of various servicemen and women, including local Police and Fire departments, Military and Civil Service personnel.
The Wolf Pack's annual "Holiday Toy Toss" will also take place on Saturday night, with fans encouraged to bring new soft toys to the game, to be flung on to the ice when the Wolf Pack score their first goal. The toys collected will be donated to local children's charities.
Also in conjunction with Hometown Hero Night Saturday, the Wolf Pack will be hosting an appearance by USA Gymnastics World Championship Team members Rebecca Bross, Ivana Hong, Bridget Sloan and Kayla Williams. These esteemed athletes will be signing autographs at the game during the first intermission, in honor of the USA Gymnastics 2010 Visa Championships coming to the XL Center August 11-14.
Saturday night is also a Wolf Pack Boy Scout Night. Scout Night tickets can be ordered through the Wolf Pack ticket office at (860) 548-2000.
The Wolf Pack are also in home-ice action at the XL Center this Friday night, December 11, when they host Kevin Dineen and the Portland Pirates on Guida's Family Value Night (7:00 PM faceoff). Family Value Night packages start as low as $45 and include three tickets, three hot dogs or pizza slices, three sodas and a Wolf Pack souvenir.
