Rivermen Land Brock McBride From Syracuse

PEORIA, Ill. (December 9, 2009) - Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced today that the club acquired center Brock McBride from the Syracuse Crunch for future considerations.

McBride, 23, has appeared in 14 games this season for the Crunch. The rookie has scored one goal and registered 15 penalty minutes for Syracuse. A native of Cornwall, Ontario McBride played four seasons at St. Lawrence University before turning pro at the end of last season.

In 140 collegiate games, he collected 110 points (40g, 70a) and 256 penalty minutes. He made his professional debut with the Hartford Wolfpack last season, where he appeared in eight regular season games and five more in the playoffs.
